Thousands of refugee women-led businesses and refugee SMEs in Uganda lack access to affordable, flexible, and sustainable tailored financing and funding.
THE IMPACTFUL SOLUTION
Kuza Refugee Business Platform is facilitating access to tailored financing, funding, and essential business financial literacy for women-led businesses and refugee SMEs in Uganda.
We search for and evaluate refugee businesses, then design and deliver relevant business grants that are flexible and sustainable, specifically tailored to the unique circumstances of refugee settings in Uganda.
Financing refugee women-led businesses is another way of supporting a girl to remain in school, as hunger has been highlighted as one of the causes for refugee girls’ school dropout. Financing refugee businesses positively impacts education, food security, nutrition, and overall health outcomes for both the mother and her children.
Our Resounding Reason
KUZA’s task is to create a thriving environment where financial literacy and access to finance are not just aspirations but realities, enabling refugee women and SMEs to drive sustainable change within their communities.
About us
